Global Forum Rules

My NotePad, as a law and ToS abiding forum, must set out some basic rules that apply to both posts and Private Messages.
A: You must be 13 years of age to join the forum as governed by US Law. If we discover that you are violating what is set out here, you will be permanently banned.
B: The ProBoards Terms of Service must be adhered to at all times. Anything violating this is a serious matter that will be dealt with severely.
This includes, but it not limited to:
- Spam and advertising in any boards.
- Racist or offensive remarks or slurs, or remarks/slurs directed at a certain member or group of members.
- Adult-orientated images, defined as not suitable for 13 year olds and above.
- Images or text that are unsuitable for the forum.
- Posts solely in a language other than English.
- Posts that promote illegal activities, mlm and/or pyramid schemes.
- Posts in violation of copyright.
C:
i. Swearing, insulting and cursing of any kind is banned, and will not be tolerated.
ii. The word censor is in place for a reason, and you must not attempt to bypass it. This includes using spaces, other characters or any other methods that bypass the censor.
iii. Members must not deliberately start 'flame wars' or similar arguments or fights between members. This will be dealt with seriously.
D: Your attitude must be kept calm and friendly. No offensive remarks, or disrespect towards staff or other members will be tolerated.
E: You must keep to the rules that are explained in each board in addition to these basic rules which are in place forum wide.
F:
i. Your common sense must be remembered and used at all times when you are using the forum.
ii. This will not be accepted as an excuse for rule violations in any circumstances.
G: If these rules are broken in any way, please PM a member of higher staff (administrator or global moderator) with a link to the post, a quote of the post, and the member's user name. Under no account should these reports be posted, and under no account should you post to say that you have reported them. Also, posts that must be avoided.
H: All signatures must remain within 500 pixels in width and 300 pixels in height, for both members and staff. Those who violate this rule will first be sent a Private Message asking to keep to this limit. If this is ignored, the entire signature will be removed. Persistent offenders will receive warnings.
J: Private Messages (PMs) must keep to the rules set out above. Also, PMs sent to staff members must be for a good reason and must not be spam. Offenders will be warned and/or banned from using the system.
Warnings
A: By coming within the confines of My NotePad, you agree to abide by the rules set out above. Violations of the rules carry punishments.
B:
i. The forum is making use of the warning meters. Administrators and Global Moderators can update these depending on the severity of the rule violation. With each warning, we will leave a note that will be displayed inside your Account Notes and User Notes.
ii. 25% on the warning meter will result in a warning being sent via PM.
50% on the warning meter will result in a one week ban.
75% on the warning meter will result in a one month ban.
100% on the warning meter will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
C: Once banned, members must not create new accounts without permission. These accounts will also be banned from the forum.
D: Warning meter percentages will be reduced by 10% every month as long as they have not been increased that month. Please PM a Global Moderator or Administrator for this to be carried out.
E: Warning levels are given at the member of staff's discretion. Arguing with a warning will result in the warning level rising.
ii. Warning levels are not to be discussed in threads under any circumstances, discussing your warning level can cause it to be increased.
F: Warning levels can be reduced at an administrator's discretion. Please do not PM an administrator asking for it to be reduced other than a reduction as set out in Section D.
G: Advertising through Personal Message (PM) is not allowed if we receive complaints about members advertising via PM you will receive a warning, as there is a board on the forum that was designed for this.
Please direct any queries towards an administrator of the forum. All reports of violations of these rules must be sent to an administrator or global moderator. Under no account may they be posted.
Moderators should not unlock a thread locked by a Global Moderator without consulting the Global Moderator 1st, if you disagree with the Global Moderator only then can it be taken higher to an administrator. All Staff that lock threads must provide a reason for locking a thread if the reason is not obvious.
If a thread is locked, the reason for locking is not obvious and no reason is provided the thread may then be unlocked by a moderator or administrator
