I'd wondered when they were changed. I know I'm not always the most observant person, but I though I would have noticed bright orange-ish yellow-ish buttons on a grey background, lol.

You do over here. But "grey" is usually spelt as the colour, and "gray" as a person's surname (like my friend ;D ).

Depends on preference on whether you see grey or gray. Both usually refer to the color. I don't know of many people with the last name Gray. My spell checker prefers gray to grey though.
